Welcome to Robotto, your destination for all things Japanese model kits! As one of the leading stores in Sweden for Gundam models, we can proudly say that we have everything you need to get started with your first Gundam building project.
Many of our customers are curious about the world of Gundam but feel a little intimidated by the detailed assembly. That's why we've put together this beginner's guide to make the process as easy and fun as possible.
Choosing Your First Gundam Model
The first step is to choose your first Gundam model. We recommend starting with a High Grade (HG) model, as they are easier to build and require less experience than the more advanced Master Grade (MG) or Perfect Grade (PG) models.
Browse our selection and choose a design that appeals to you most. Perhaps you're interested in the classic RX-78-2 Gundam, or maybe you prefer one of the more unique Gundam variants like the Unicorn Gundam or Barbatos. Regardless, we will guide you through the entire building process.
Preparing for the Build
Once you've chosen your Gundam model, it's time to prepare. Make sure you have all the necessary tools ready, such as nippers, a hobby knife, glue, and possibly paint if you want to paint your model.
We also recommend reading the instructions carefully before you begin. Understand each step and be sure to follow them in the correct order. Gundam builds can sometimes be a bit complicated, so take your time to really get into it.
Building Your Gundam Model
Now it's time for the actual building! Open the packaging carefully and take out the parts. Sort them so you know where everything goes.
Start with the simpler parts first, like the torso and legs. Assemble them step by step according to the instructions. Be careful not to damage the parts. Use glue sparingly and let it dry thoroughly between steps.
Once you have built the base, you can continue with the more detailed parts such as arms, weapons, and any extra details. Take your time and enjoy the process - it's a big part of the experience.
Finishing Your Gundam
Once all the parts are assembled, it's time to get your Gundam ready for display! Check that all moving parts work as they should and make any necessary adjustments.
If you want to paint your model, now is the time to do it. Be careful and follow the instructions closely for the best results.
Finally, you can place your newly built Gundam model on your shelf or desk and enjoy your craftsmanship. Feel proud of your achievement - you've built your first Gundam!
